Hello and welcome! My name is Miriam and I specialize in working with teens, individual adults, and couples who need some extra support as they navigate their unique, difficult challenges. I am especially passionate about helping women discover who they are in a world that tells us who we should be and help empower women who have gone through sexual trauma. As your therapist, I will be committed to helping you find ways to process anything and everything! I look forward to helping you take control of your life.

Education
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy at Alliant University, Sacramento after earning my MA in Couple and Family Therapy at the same institution. Before my journey here in Sacramento, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology at The University of California, Santa Cruz. (Go Slugs!)
Professional
After graduating from UCSC with a degree in psychology, I worked for a few years as a registered behavior technician. Working with families in their homes helped me realize I could make a real difference as a systemic therapist. I worked in community mental health in West Sacramento for the entirety of my journey as a trainee therapist and for part of my time as an AMFT.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #158982) and currently supervised by Dr.
Sean Davis (LMFT #45885).

Personal
I grew up in the East Bay of California but have commuted all over the northern part of California for most of my life. I consider northern California to be my home.
When I’m not providing therapy, I enjoy reading, drawing, driving to new places, discovering new coffee shops, traveling, and catching up with friends and family.

$190 per 50 minute couple or family session
$175 per 50 minute individual session
Limited number of lower rates offered – call for availability
Paperwork
Please complete the online intake paperwork before your first session. It takes a while to complete – plan on about 30 minutes – but having this information prior to your arrival helps me make the most of our time together. Everyone seeking treatment in California needs to complete the “intake paperwork.” Only complete the “Release of Information” if requested once we begin meeting. I will provide you with the password.
