Lupita Gallego,
MA, AMFT
Having four children myself, I am passionate in perinatal mental health. I help women navigate the motherhood journey including the challenges that pregnancy, postpartum, lactation, having young children and even menopause bring. Both my clinical and personal experience prepared me to empower women to thrive and be healthy and happy in every stage of life.
Balancing parenting, work, relationships and self-care can be exhausting. If you feel overwhelmed, burnt-out, resentful for the lack of support, afraid to be judged, mom-guilt, identity loss or simply feel like you don’t want to do this alone I am here to help you. Providing a safe and supportive environment, together we will develop a plan based on your needs and explore ways to prioritize your well-being so that you can enjoy every phase of womanhood.
Sessions are one on one, conducted via tele-health video, tailored to your goals, values and needs. I would be honored to help you through your journey.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of San Diego in 2009. I then received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University at the Mexico City campus.

Professional
During my master’s program I earned my clinical hours working with the perinatal population in a hospital setting in Mexico City where I provided support for patients with pregnancy and neonatal problems. I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #153485), supervised by Sean Davis, PhD, (LMFT #45885).
Clinical Specialties
- Women’s Wellness
- Life transitions
- Family Relationships
- Couples
- Health
In addition to my work with women, I work a lot with couples too. I help couples recover from affairs, improve communication and connection, improve their sex life, and many other things. And men, don’t worry – just because I work with women a lot, your side will be heard just as much!
Languages Spoken
I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
Personal
I grew up in Mexico, in a border city with California. Going to school in the U.S. and living in the Mexican side of the border made me not only bilingual but also bi-cultural.
My passion for learning lead me to a certification as a Montessori teacher. I taught Kindergarten and Second grade in San Diego, Ca. for a couple of years. Later in life my interest in holistic health lead me to a certification in Health Coaching and yoga instructor. I consider myself a life-long learner and will probably keep exploring other fields of study.
On my free time I enjoy reading, indoor-cycling, hiking, taking walks with my dog Blue, playing tennis, padel, pickle ball (any racket sport really) and traveling.
