Komal Singh,

LCSW

Hello, I’m Komal, a licensed psychotherapist at The Davis Group. I work with children ages 3 and up, tweens, teens, adolescents, young adults, and families. My passion is supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate emotional, behavioral, social, school-related, and family challenges in a space where they feel valued, heard, understood, and empowered.
I also have a strong focus on working with neurodivergent children and teens, including those with ADHD and emotional regulation challenges. I approach this work through a neurodivergent-affirming and brain-based lens, helping both the child and family better understand how the brain works while building skills that support regulation, confidence, and daily functioning.
I believe therapy can be a meaningful space for healing, growth, and connection. Many children and teens today experience anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, identity concerns, school pressure, peer challenges, and difficulty expressing what they feel. My role is to help clients build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, increase confidence, practice self-compassion, and develop coping skills they can carry into their everyday lives.
My therapeutic style is warm, client-centered, and supportive. I integrate talk therapy, play therapy, expressive art, sand tray, narrative therapy, attachment-focused therapy, trauma- informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused approaches. I also incorporate neuroplasticity-informed interventions to help children and teens understand that their brains can learn new patterns and that change is possible with support, practice, and connection.

Education

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on child and teen therapy. I also hold a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, which has helped me develop a broader understanding of both clinical care and larger systems of support. My education has shaped the way I view children, families, healthcare, and emotional wellness through a compassionate and whole-person lens.

Professional

My professional background includes experience as a Mental Health Crisis Counselor, Youth Behavioral Analyst, school-based therapist, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with children as young as 3 through young adulthood and have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, family conflict, grief and loss, emotional dysregulation, identity issues, school-related concerns, behavioral challenges, and adjustment to life transitions.

In my work, I listen carefully to each child’s story and collaborate with both the child and their family to build a treatment plan rooted in trust, respect, and each child’s unique strengths. I believe every child has resilience, and part of my role is helping them uncover that resilience while learning healthier ways to understand themselves, communicate, and cope.

I strongly value parent involvement in the therapeutic process. Parents and caregivers are often the ones carrying the tools into everyday life at home, school, and in the community. I enjoy helping parents better understand their child’s behavior through a regulation, attachment, neurodivergent-affirming, and brain-based lens so they can feel more equipped, supported, and connected.

Clinical Specialties

My main focus is on children, teens, and young adults. Among that age range, my specialties include:

  • Child play therapy
  • Teen therapy
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Self-esteem & identity concerns
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming care

I am trained in EMDR and am a Certified Brainspotter. I have also completed specialized Brainspotting training for children and adolescents. Brainspotting has strengthened the way I support children and teens who may not always have the words to express what they are feeling, especially when emotions are stored in the body. I often combine Brainspotting-informed work with expressive art, play, and developmentally appropriate interventions to
support emotional processing, regulation, and healing.

I work with children who struggle with ADHD, school challenges, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, peer relationships, and family transitions. I also work with teens and young adults experiencing suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, low self-worth, and emotional overwhelm.

I enjoy working with individuals from diverse ethnicities, nationalities, races, spiritualities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, relationships, challenges, and identity with compassion and safety.

Languages Spoken

I am fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu.

Personal

I became a therapist because I have always felt a deep calling to support children and families during moments when they feel most unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. I believe every child deserves a safe space where their story matters. Being a therapist allows me to walk alongside children, teens, young adults and families as they find their strengths, rebuild hope, and move toward healing.

It is truly an honor to support children, teens, young adults and families through their healing journey. I find it incredibly meaningful to witness growth, connection, and transformation over time. My hope is that each client leaves therapy feeling more understood, more confident, and more connected to who they are.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, exploring new places together, and creating meaningful memories with my loved ones. I have a strong passion for learning and am always seeking opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. I also enjoy staying active, spending time in nature, and finding small, creative ways to bring joy and balance into everyday life.
