Eva Erickson,
MA, AMFT
I work with couples and individuals who are open, introspective, and ready to make a change in service of growing their most meaningful relationships. I often help those struggling with a general sense of dissatisfaction with their relationships, tension between them and their partner, or feelings of isolation from either loved ones, themselves, or both.
When these struggles feel overwhelming, it’s important to have a space in which all parts of you are fully seen and honored, and in which you feel as if you are growing into your truest self.
I can walk with you, or you and your partner, as you learn new ways of recognizing, approaching, and healing the very fractures that you feel are coming between you and the closeness that you desire within your relationships. I look forward to each journey.

Education
- I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport Psychology, from Texas Christian University. Two years later, I earned my Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. More recently, I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University here in Sacramento, California.
- I am also currently working towards my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy also from Alliant, which I plan to complete in 2027.

Professional
I began my practice as a therapist at a nonprofit agency in Sacramento. During my time there, I had the privilege of working with a variety of clients from all different walks of life and cultural backgrounds. Through my prior and current education and clinical work, I have learned and practiced both Internal Family Systems therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which I use to help individuals and couples feel more secure in their relationships with themselves and each other.
As a therapist, I view my role as both a witness to my clients’ inner worlds and a collaborative guide to help them explore its depths with more confidence and comfort. It’s my hope that through our work, I can help my clients connect with their true selves, and with those most important to them, in a way that creates a deep sense of vulnerability, authenticity, and happiness in their relationships.
I am a California Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#152867), supervised by Dr. Sean Davis (LMFT #45885).
Clinical Specialties
I specialize in working with adult individuals and couples, particularly those navigating:
- Relationship distress
- Relational difficulties
- Life transitions
- Anxiety
- Depression
Personal
I grew up in the rolling hills of the East Bay Area here in Northern California. After moving around across Texas, Colorado, and Arizona for school and work experiences, I settled in Sacramento to be close to family. Outside of being a therapist and a student, I can usually be found cooking for friends and family, running along the American River, or spending time with my cat, Jasper.
